About Us
About Us
Information devices and systems, including information terminals and networks, have become indispensable in our daily lives. At the Department of Computer Engineering, we study a wide range of information engineering fields. Through experiments and hands-on practice, we experience the joy of "software craftsmanship."
CONCEPT
Concept
To thrive as a professional
in information engineering
We cultivate well-rounded individuals equipped with solid foundational skills, practical abilities gained through experiments and hands-on practice, and both creativity and problem-solving capabilities.
STUDY
What you learn at the Department
At the Department of Computer Engineering, we pursue the goal of "Creating a New World of Information," and based on knowledge of both software and hardware,
we study three core fields: information processing, network systems, and embedded systems.
Information Processing
By analyzing information, we create high-value-added information and content essential for information systems. This covers a wide range of fields, including artificial intelligence and computer graphics.
Network Systems
The various things and services around us are connected through networks. We transmit information safely and reliably, including multimedia content.
Embedded Systems
"Embedded systems" are systems with built-in computers designed to fulfill specific purposes. We develop software that controls home appliances and various devices that support comfortable daily living.
FEATURES
Distinctive Education
In addition to lectures where instructors teach skills and knowledge from the podium,
we value one-on-one time between each student and faculty member through various exercises, experiments, and hands-on practice.
features
01
Incentive Program
An introduction to university life, university education and research, and what information engineering is about — serving as an orientation to both the university and the field of information.
features
02
Information Engineering Lab
A hands-on course where students verify what they have learned in lectures through actual software and hardware. A wide range of assignments are given, from circuit characteristic measurements to advanced information processing, to develop practical skills.
features
03
Project Workshop
A project-based group exercise on themes such as building database systems, network systems, and embedded systems. Students experience the full process from planning to evaluation, similar to corporate R&D. It trains flexible thinking, teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving abilities, while providing the joy of creating something from scratch.
features
04
Career Design
A course where we think together about how to approach life and how to make the most of your university years. Combined with internship opportunities, this course helps you take the first step in charting your own career path.
