At the 23rd Information Science and Technology Forum (FIT2024) held at the Hiroshima Institute of Technology Itsukaichi Campus from 2024/9/4 (Wed) to 6 (Fri), Hirota Daiki, a second-year Master's Program in Information Science belonging to Tsukamoto Laboratory, received the FIT Encouragement Award.
The title of the presentation is “Study and comparison for road falling object detection based on image classification information and object position information in driving landscape motion images” (Hirota Daiki, Tsukamoto Arata). In this presentation, it was confirmed that YOLOv5 can configure a falling object detection function based on object position information, and compared it with a detection method based on image recognition. Presentations and discussions based on these results were evaluated by researchers at each university and selected for the FIT Encouragement Award.Congrats.
