At the 2024 Electrical Society Electronics/Information/Systems Division Conference held at the Kinki University Higashiosaka Campus from 2024/9/4 (Wed) to 5 (Thu), Yuki Furutado, a second-year master's student in information science belonging to the Hosono-Seki Laboratory, received the 2024 Institute of Electrical Engineers Electronics/Information Systems Division Excellent Poster Award.
The title of the presentation is “Generation of Desired Synthetic Patient Groups by Sampling Potential Spaces” (Furutado Yuki, Seki Hirosho, Miyano Saki, Tsuji Yasuhiro, Hosono Hiroyuki). This presentation was a joint study with Professor Tsuji Yasuhiro and his group from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and focused on the latent space of a generative model that learns patient data and synthesizes virtual patient data, and proposed a new method for sampling the desired patient group from the latent space without relearning the model.Congrats.
